Setting up your Stripe account

Linking your organisation’s bank account to Stripe

When you click “link bank account” within the Organisation menu in Ticketize, we redirect you to Stripe. Stripe collects details of your bank account so that they can deposit money there when you sell tickets.

Stripe gives Ticketize a secret code that will allow us to initiate sales of tickets for you.

Ticketize won’t have any access to your bank account.

What happens when a ticket is sold

When one of your customers is ready to buy a ticket from you, we tell Stripe to initiate a sale on your behalf.

Stripe collects the money from your customer. They will allocate 3% of the sale price to Ticketize (our “platform fee”) and retain approximately 1.6% for themselves (card processing fee; the exact amount depends on factors like the payment card used). The rest (approximately 95.4%) will be allocated to you.

Some time after the purchase, Stripe will transfer your money (minus Ticketize platform fee and Stripe card processing fee) to your back account. The timing of this transfer is decided by Stripe.

Stripe charges 1.2% + 20p for registered charities or organisations that can prove your non-profit status.
