Privacy policy and GDPR compliance
The Ticketize Privacy Policy applies to individuals who sign up for our services (“users”, “you”), or any individual who visits our websites, contacts Ticketize via email or chats with us on social media.

Type of personal information we collect
We currently collect and process the following personal information:
- Names of organisers and associates
- Email addresses of organisers, associates and ticket checkers
- Website activity on ticketize.co.uk
- Correspondence with Ticketize
- Name, email address and organisation name of subscribers to our newsletter and updates
- Responses to any customer surveys
We will not share this information with the exception of authorities by due process of law and, in the event that Ticketize is bought by another party, data will be shared with this party.
How we get the personal information and why we have it
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by users of the Ticketize platform, the “organisers” for the purpose of registering to sell tickets to events online; and to buy tickets.
We use the information that is given us in order to contact users in relation to the service that is contracted (namely selling and purchasing tickets online via the Tickeize platform) to include:
- Updates on the process including account, organisaation and event setup and completion of events.
- Offers and updates about the Ticketize service
- Service outages
- Customer service issues
- Customer surveys
- Notification of changes to Terms and Conditions
An unsubscribe link will be included in every email.
Ticket buyers
In relation to “ticket buyers”, Ticketize is a data processor. We process limited personal data on behalf of organisations who contract with Ticketize.
Information provided to Ticketize by ticket buyers (names and email addresses) will be shared with the event organiser to enable the event organiser to contact the ticket buyer regarding the event and manage any disputes or issues arising. Ticketize is not responsible for the actions of the event organiser in relation to data protection.
Event organisers and associates
Organisations hosting events on the Ticketize platform act as the Data Controller for ticket buyer data and as such are responsible for informing ticket buyers how their personal information will be processed in their own Data Privacy Policies.
Sharing and processing data
Ticketize may share your personal data with sub-processors including Stripe, who process payments. We ensure that any Sub-Processor we work with follows GDPR law and keep your personal data safe and private.
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:
- User consent which users are able to remove at any time by contacting support@ticketize.co.uk
- A contractual obligation created when a user agrees to an account with Ticketize
- A legitimate interest in the use of personal data to create an account, and provide services in support of the core operation of providing an online ticketing service via the Ticketize platform.
How we store your personal information
All personal information is securely stored. Ticketize is built on AWS. All data is stored in the UK or EU.
Timescales for data deletion
Ticketize user data, specifically organisation owners and associates will be stored for 12 months. If after 12 months there has been no activity on the Ticketize website, the organisation data including events history will be permanently deleted.
Ticket buyer data will be deleted 30 days after the event.
Website usage data will be deleted after 30 days
Your data protection rights
Under data protection law, you have rights including:
- Your right of access - you have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
- Your right to rectification - you have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.
- Your right to erasure - you have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.
- Your right to restriction of processing - you have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
- Your right to object to processing - you have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
- Your right to data portability - you have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.
You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.

You can also complain to the ICO if you are unhappy with how we have used your data.
