January
Dry January®, second week of January
Sign up with Alcohol Change UK for free digital resources including posters, social media images and template posts, and a pack of ideas for running Dry January® in your community. There is a official app for Dry January® and a daily email coaching programme.
February
Time to Talk Day, 6 February 2025
Time to Talk Day is an annual awareness day that aims to get us all starting a conversation about mental health. Run by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness, in partnership with the Co-op, there are a range of resources on the Time to Talk Day website including posters for community notice boards and schools.
Helpline Awareness Day, 23 February 2025
In 2024 the first UK-wide Helplines Awareness Day was launched to try and increase the recognition of helplines and increase awareness of all the services they provide as well as the support helplines offer. International Women’s Day, 8 March 2025
International Women’s Day has been around since 1911. The theme in 2025 is ‘Accelerating Action’ emphasising the importance of taking swift and decisive steps to achieve gender equality. The International Women’s Day website has a huge range of resources including an event pack and planning toolkit.

World Autism Acceptance Day, 2 April 2025
In 2025 Autism UK will be encouraing people to walk 5km in April to support World Autism Acceptance Day and will be hosting a Spectrum Colour Walk in London on Saturday 5th April.

Dementia Action Week, 19-25 May 2025
Alzheimers UK in 2025 will focus on dementia diagnosis as part of Dementia Action Week, calling on the Government and the NHS to prioritise dementia in policy and decision making. Dementia Action Week can be supported by downloading and sharing posters, flyers, backgrounds and banners.
National Children’s Gardening Week, 24 May-1 June 2025
The aim of National Children’s Gardening Week is to inspire children’s interest in gardening. The National Children’s Gardening Week website has a wealth of activities and ideas, as well as promotional activities.

National Volunteers’ Week, 2-8 June 2025
First established in 1984, Volunteers’ Week celebrates the amazing contributions volunteers make to communities across the UK. From open days to celebration events, every year hundreds of online and in-person activities take place across the UK to mark Volunteers’ Week and celebrate volunteers. Child Safety Week, 2-8 June 2025
Child Safety Week is the Child Accident Prevention Trust’s annual community education campaign. Free accident prevention resources are available on the website of the Child Accident Prevention Trust as well as social media guides.
Diabetes Awareness Week, 16-22 June 2025
Diabetes Week aims to raise awareness about the things that matter to people with diabetes. Fundraising packs and Diabetes Week digital resources can be found on the Diabetes UK website.

Samaritans Awareness Day “24/7”, 24 July 2025
Samaritans Awareness Day takes place on July 24 (24/7), and throughout the entire month of July, the Samaritans will be raising awareness through local events to help everyone understand they can reach anytime, day or night. Downloadable social media assets and access to printed materials, such as leaflets and posters, are available on the Samaritans website.

National Allotments Week, 4-10 August 2025
Initiated by The National Allotment Society, National Allotments Week has been celebrated for over twenty years, providing an opportunity for allotment holders to open their gates and showcase their gardens, emphasising the social, health, and environmental benefits of allotments across the UK. A downloadable ‘NAW Promotional Tool Kit’ is available on the National Allotments Week website.

Macmillan Coffee Morning, 26 September 2025
The worlds’ biggest coffee morning is organised by Macmillan Cancer Support. Their website includes social media packs, recipies, details of local events and the opportunity to make donations.

National Work Life Week, 13-19 October 2025
National Work Life Week is an annual campaign to get both employers and employees talking about wellbeing at work and work-life balance organised by Working Families, the UK’s national charity for working parents and carers.

Anti-Bullying Week, date tbc
Schools are able to download free teaching resources and themed assemblies, along with artefacts to support a community-based campaign to help bring Anti-Bullying Week to life from the Anti-Bullying Alliance.

National Grief Awareness Week, 2-8 December 2024
